Do you believe in the big bang? Do you think it came by chance? Or was the big bang "Gods" doing?

Share your opinions people :)

Creationist and IDists believe in the "God of the Gaps" who can only exist in the gaps of human knowledge, ever fearful of the advance of human knowledge. Finding a natural cause for anything diminishes the God of the Gaps' domain. It's a puny impotent deity.

Unlike the creationists' "God of the Gaps", the Christian God is supposed to be Sovereign over Nature. 'Nuff said?

When it comes down to it no one can prove the big bang, science is something we can test, demonstrait and observe ?

Image

Even if it did happen.....!

Where did time, space and matter come from ?

Also..

It violates the laws of thermodynamics, which states matter can not be created or destroyed

Image

Im not bias against the big bang im looking at the evidence thats all

if anyone can help please explain thanks

You do realize that the Big Bang (which is actually Cosmology not Evolution, this has absolutely nothing to do with Evolution) wasn't actually an explosion? It was a rapid expansion of space and matter. Crazynutsx, Webster's dictionary is not really an accurate source for Scientific principles. For example can you observe atoms? Can you observe the electrons going through your computer? No but you can infer that they're there. I don't think you understand what Thermodynamics actually is, could you explain to me your understanding of the principles of Thermodynamics?

This is most defenetly part of the evolution theory beacuse it states the universe evolved from the big bang (good search Cosmic evolution and you will see what i mean)

It has nothing to do with biolgical evolution, im with you on that but as you can see on my forum there are 6 types of evolution

I dont agree with you there but for arguments sake we can say it was a rapid expansion

Answer this:

What exploded ?
Where did space come from ?
Where did matter come from ?
Where did time come from ?
Why does it violate the laws of thermodynamics ?

I agree no one can see them but we have devices which can detect them

The laws of thermodynamics clearly states that matter can not be created or destroyed
So how did the big bang create matter ?

Since no matter existed until some time after the Big Bang, the laws of thermodynamics have absolutely nothing to do with the issue.

And guess what, matter can be both created and destroyed.

If you belive this then that is pure fantasy my friend, i challenge you to walk into a university and tell this to any scientist and they shall prove you wrong in a second

Did the atomic bomb work?

yes it did work heres why it didnt create any extra energry

an atomic bomb converts potential energy, stored as mass in the nucleus of an atom, into kinetic thermal energy

Yawn.

It destroys matter to create energy.

But that is still irrelevant to the Big Bang.

Until sometime after the Big Bang, not even energy as we know it, the four forces, existed.

That is the still remaining question related to the Singularity, the point where all our current knowledge breaks down.

But as of now, that there was a Big Bang is something known with a very high degree of confidence and supported by every observation made so far.
